Anders family are Volunteers of the Month
Our September Volunteer of the Month award winners are the Anders family from Shrewsbury Cricket Club.
The nomination from the club said: “Your incredible commitment as a family plays a huge part in making junior cricket at Shrewsbury possible.
“From coaching and organising teams, to supporting young players as they progress, developing girls cricket and helping youngsters make the step into the adult game, you each give countless hours to the club.
“Your encouragement, dedication and willingness to always help make a lasting different to so many young cricketers.”
Congratulations to the Anders family for claiming the award.
The September Volunteer of the Month award is the last one for 2026 – but they will return next year with the start of the 2027 cricket season.
We are always looking for nominations for volunteers worthy or receiving the award – we know that there are lots of worthy candidates who do so much to get the game on at clubs across Shropshire every week.
Look out for the chance to nominate next season!
