Cricket coaching is a fantastic way to support your club and expand your knowledge of the game. At Cricket Shropshire, we facilitate three different types of ECB coaching courses. All courses are entry level but gradually get more advanced with course content – all involving eLearning and face to face elements.

ECB Support Coach

Entry level

This programme has been designed to give learners the knowledge, skills and confidence to support qualified coaches.
An ECB Support Coach is not qualified to lead coaching sessions independently and therefore must be supervised by a qualified cricket coach.

    ECB Foundation Coach

    Entry Level

    This programme has been designed to develop a learner’s knowledge, skills and confidence to use icoachcricket to coach safe, fun and inclusive sessions that ignite a lifelong love of the game.
    An ECB Foundation Coach will be qualified to lead coaching sessions independently and without supervision.

      ECB Core Coach

      Entry level

      This programme has been designed to give learners the knowledge, skills and confidence to lead player-centred coaching sessions.
      An ECB Core Coach will be qualified to lead coaching sessions independently and without supervision.

        As part of your coaching qualification, you will be required to have the following:

        • ECB Disclosure & Barring Service
        • ECB Safeguarding for Coaches & Activators
        • First Aid Certificate
