All Stars and Dynamos a big success

It’s been great to see at the All Stars and Dynamos sessions taking place at clubs across Shropshire this Summer.

We have seen more youngsters taking part than last year in the eight-week programme organised by clubs up and down the county.

There are 1,430 boys and girls taking part in the national programmes in Shropshire this year – 915 All Stars and 515 Dynamos with around a quarter being girls.

This compares to 1,274 youngsters aged 5-12 taking part at clubs last year.

Cricket Shropshire Lead Officer Steve Reese said: “It’s been great to see all the smiles and enthusiasm for cricket from the All Stars and Dynamos at clubs across Shropshire this Summer.

“The National Programmes provide a great way of getting new families involved in clubs – we have seen the benefit at a number of clubs.

“In the long term this will help clubs increase their membership and attract people from across the community which can only be good news for long-term stability.”

A number of free Summer camps are being organised by Cricket Shropshire across the county which will be based on the All Stars and Dynamos programmes – see HERE.

Some clubs may also be organising Summer camps or extending their All Stars and Dynamos sessions throughout the Summer.
