Knight-Stokes Cup entries for 2027

Entries are now open for state secondary schools in Shropshire to enter the 2027 Barclays Knight-Stokes Cup.

The competition was staged for the first time this year and proved a big hit with 16 schools from Shropshire taking part in the Under 15s competition for boys and girls.

Although the Shropshire winners didn’t progress through the regional and national stages of the competition, feedback from schools involved has been very positive.

The Shropshire winners were Haberdashers’ Adams in the Boys competition and Newport Girls High in the Girls’ section.

Cricket Shropshire’s Darrell Corfield said: “Schools in Shropshire can now sign up for the 2027 competition – but please note the form below is an entry form, not an Expression of Interest form.”

The registration form is available via the link HERE.

Entries are open until Monday 30th November 2026.

Feedback from schools taking part this year highlighted that schools wish to be communicated fixtures earlier, so closing entries on the above date gives time for the Shropshire rounds of 2027 competitions to be organised and communicated to participants.

National organisers of the competition estimate that over 15,000 students took part in the first edition of the Barclays Knight-Stokes Cup from over 1,100 teams, with pupils from more than 800 state secondary schools all over the country

The organisers want to build on this start and work together to make the competition a successful, regular fixture in the cricketing calendar.
