Hayley is latest Volunteer of the Month
Our latest Volunteer of the Month Award winner is Hayley Roe from Bridgnorth Cricket Club.
She was nominated for her work with the junior section at the club.
The nomination said: “We feel Hayley deserves the award in recognition of your outstanding dedication, commitment and tireless support of grassroots cricket.
“Through her leadership of the junior section, exceptional organisation and countless volunteer roles, she has created a positive, inclusive environment where young players can thrive.
“Her passion, encouragement and willingness to go above and beyond for players, families and fellow volunteers have made a lasting impact on the club and are sincerely appreciated by everyone.”
The award was presented by Cricket Shropshire Chair Adrian Collins.
We are now looking for nominations for our Volunteer of the Month award for July.
Throughout the Summer we are looking to recognise the hard work and dedication which goes on at clubs across Shropshire by our volunteers.
Cricket Shropshire Lead Officer Steve Reese said: “There are some incredible volunteers out there who work hard to ensure clubs across the county promote the game and ensure people of all ages can play in a safe and friendly environment.
“We want to highlight the significant contributions of these people – without whom the recreational game would struggle to function as effectively as it does.”
