Free Summer camps for youngsters

Cricket Shropshire is running a series of our popular free Summer camps for boys and girls aged 5-11 in conjunction with clubs across the county during the school holidays.

Each is a two-day camp running from 10am to 3pm each day.

The camps are:

  • Cae Glas CC July 27/28
  • Market Drayton CC July 28/29
  • Much Wenlock CC August 4/5
  • St Georges CC August 11/12
  • Bishop’s Castle CC August 20/21
  • Broseley CC August 20/21

There will also be a one-day community camp at Broad Oaks Park in Donnington, Telford, on August 7.

Children who attend could receive an All Stars (5-8) or Dynamos (8-11) T-shirt, and there are also bats available for All Stars – these can be ordered when registering.

There are 24 spaces for All Stars and 24 spaces for Dynamos on each camp on first come, first served basis

Cricket Shropshire’s Community Programmes Manager Sacha Lee said: “We’re delighted be able to offer these free Summer camps for youngsters across the county once again.

“We have been running these camps for five years now, varying the venues at clubs around the county each year, and they continue to grow in popularity, which is fantastic to see.

“We will also be working with a few of our clubs who have taken out our Advance Affiliation Package helping them with their Summer camps.

“And we are more than happy to help any of our clubs who may be staging activities this Summer by sharing on our website and social media channels, just let us know what’s going on.

“We want to see as many people as possible getting involved in cricket in fun, friendly and inclusive environments.”

To register a child for one of the camps, please fill in the form HERE.

We will be in touch 7-10 days prior to the date of the start of the camp to finalise details.
