UV Women’s Softball Festival sparkles
Eleven teams came together across two nights to enjoy this year’s Halloween Women’s Softball UV Festival at Sundorne Games Hall in Shrewsbury.
The first night saw Bomere Heath CC Bullets, Ellesmere CC Elles Belles, Broseley Bombshells, Newtown CC and Shrewsbury CC play against each other in six-a-side pairs friendly matches.
The second evening involved a further six teams: Newport CC, Albrighton CC Roses, Allscott Heath CC, Madeley CC, Aston CC and Willey CC.
Organiser Katie Rushton said: “All the ladies embraced the UV paint and glow sticks, coming prepared to fully enjoy the UV cricket offer.
“It was fantastic to see so many women and girls engage in the offer for the third year running. All teams really enjoyed the spirit of the evening, recognising the efforts and performances of all the other players and teams involved.
“We would like to thank the staff at Sundorne Games Hall for hosting us once again, and we look forward to more fun under UV next year.”
