Spaces available on Coach CPD session tonight
There are some spaces available on a Coach CPD session tonight (Tuesday April 21) at Shrewsbury School Indoor Cricket Centre from 6-9pm.
Any club coaches who would like to join the session should fill in the form below. It costs £10.
The themes are as follows –
Fielding
- Common technical problems and solutions (throw, stop, catch)
- Stations to focus on transition from softball to hardball cricket
- Example group/team drills
Batting
- Common problems and associated drills (set-up, backswing, positioning)
- Playing Spin (sweeps, depth of crease, leaving crease)
- Playing Pace (back foot position – pull/cut)
- Softball/Hardball transition discussion
8.10pm-8.30pm – Example net coaching
- Bowling machine – gapping exercise, use coach to bat or one of more proficient kids
- Live net – scoring system/scenario’s
