Regional STREET success for U12 Boys
Cricket Shropshire’s sides had a brilliant day at the Chance to Shine STREET Regional Finals – with the Under 12 teams crowned champions!
They now go on to qualify for the national finals after an outstanding team performance during the day.
The Under 15s also performed well during the day, finishing a creditable fourth against other counties in the region.
Cricket Shropshire’s Director of Community Cricket Hafeez Rehman who was part of the coaching team on the day said; “A massive well done to all the players for their effort, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day, you’ve done yourselves proud!
“This was a great opportunity for our youngsters to come to Worcestershire and enjoy some cricket, especially after effort they give all the time. This is the time that they can play and just enjoy it.
“We just look at them playing and it is delightful to see and it just makes everything worth it.
“When you look at their faces and see the smiles it tells you that they are enjoying it. It’s a great opportunity and we are so lucky to have that.”
