Annabelle claims three for U13 Girls

Annabelle Burton led the Shropshire Under 13 Girls bowling attack when they took on Staffordshire at Albrighton CC in a 35-over game.
She claimed 3-17 from her four overs to rip out the Staffordshire middle order as the visitors finished their innings on 164-9. Skipper Anna Hurford also claimed 2-12 and Helena Farquharson 2-14.
In the reply, Sophia Parton hit 27, Hurford 23 and Farquharson 22 as Shropshire finished their innings on 135-8 – 30 runs short of their victory target.
The Under 18 Girls hosted Cricket Scotland for two T20 fixtures at Shelton. In the first game they were put in to bat and finished their 20 overs on 113-3 with Lauren Kenvyn hitting 58 and Amy Griffiths 42.
In reply, the Scots reached their victory target with ten balls to spare with Kate Brazier picking up 2-13, Esther Hurford 2-19 and Kenvyn 2-23.
In the second game, Scotland batted first and finished their 20 overs on 130-7, Griffiths picking up 2-24.
Kenvyn hit 24 in the reply and Freya Jones was unbeaten on 24 at the end of the 20 overs, but Shropshire fell short of their victory target on 89-6.
The girls then travelled to Cheshire to take on their counterparts in a 50-over game at Timperley CC. Batting first, they were dismissed for 98 with Mille Parry top scoring with 28.Cheshire reached their victory target for the loss of two wickets, both claimed by Griffiths.
