Allscott claim Girls’ Metro Bank trophies
We had a fantastic day at our Metro Bank Girls Softball Festival with competitions for the Under 12 and Under 14 Girls at Wrekin College.
The Under 12s competition featured Allscott Heath A, Allscott Heath B, Ellesmere and Madeley.
The Under 14s competition was contested between Allscott Heath, Madeley, Shelton and Shifnal.
The teams played each other in a round robin competition featuring 12 overs per game with the top two teams going into the final and the other teams taking part in a third-place play-off.
Allscott A emerged as the winners in the Under 12s competition with the club’s Under 14s side claiming the Under 14s title.
Competition organiser Shannon Aston said: “Well done to everyone who took part in the competition and congratulations to both Allscott sides for claiming the Metro Bank trophies.
“Thanks to Wrekin College for hosting the competitions and thanks also to the teams for supplying umpires and scorers to help the day run smoothly.”
