U12s CTS Street finish fourth in national finals
Shropshire’s Under 12s Chance to Shine Street team had an incredible day at the National Finals, finishing fourth in the country – a fantastic achievement for the group.
Coach Luke Carroll said: “The day was extremely enjoyable and gave the children the opportunity to compete alongside and against their peers from across the country, test themselves at a national level, and experience the excitement of representing their local community.
“They also had the fantastic opportunity to meet and speak to England international fast bowler Luke Wood, making the day even more memorable.
“Our Street projects are about much more than cricket. They give children in our local communities the opportunity to be active, develop their skills, build confidence, make new friends and be part of something positive.
“Seeing the children progress from local sessions to finishing fourth nationally is a brilliant example of the impact the programme can have.”
The Under 12s qualified for the national finals by winning their regional finals in Worcestershire.
