Cluster meetings arranged to discuss Juniors and Girls’ cricket
The 2026 season may still be in full swing – but we’re already looking ahead to 2027 with a series of regional meetings planned to discuss Juniors and Girls’ cricket in Shropshire.
We have five Cluster meetings scheduled for October at venues around the county – and clubs can get involved in shaping the agenda.
They can use the form below to register their interest in any of the meetings, ask questions or make suggestions about topics to be discussed.
We have seen the junior game continue to grow in recent season – and this Summer we have had a record number of teams taking part in our Junior Leagues.
In total, we had 124 teams entered across five age groups from clubs across Shropshire and beyond.
Competitions have been running at Under 11s Development, Under 11s Hard Ball, Under 13s Pairs/T20, Under 13s T20 and Under 15s.
After consultation with clubs, we have also launched an Under 17s T20 competition this Summer with ten teams taking part.
We have also seen continued growth in the girls’ game in Shropshire with more youngsters looking to take part and more interest in transitioning from softball to hardball cricket.
The cluster meetings, which will run from 7-9pm each evening, are ideal for club junior co-ordinators and team managers and coaches and will take place at the following members.
Monday 12th October – Shelton CC
Wednesday 14th October – Newport
Monday 19th October – Madeley
Wednesday 21st October – Wem
Monday 26th October – Church Stretton
