Great day at Chance to Compete U12s Schools competition
We had a fantastic day at the Chance to Compete State Schools Under 12s mixed competition held at Frankwell in Shrewsbury organised in conjunction with Chance to Shine.
There were 12 teams involved in the competition from schools around the county featuring around 100 boys and girls.
The schools were Belvidere, William Brookes, Burton Borough, Ercall Wood, Meole Brace, Grove, Thomas Adams, Bridgnorth Endowed, Ludlow, Church Stretton, Charlton and Idsall.
The teams were split into four groups with the winners going through to the semi-finals and then finals.
Church Stretton emerged as the eventual champions with Ludlow as runners up.
Cricket Shropshire Development Administrator Vanessa Russell said: “It was a fantastic day of cricket with lots of activity for all involved in a fun and friendly environment.
“Congratulations to all who took part, and to Church Stretton for claiming the title.”
