Fun in the sun at Girls U15s CTS Festival

Thomas Adams School from Wem claimed the honours at the Chance to Shine Under 15s Girls Festival organised by Cricket Shropshire at Frankwell in Shrewsbury.

“The matches were played in great spirits, with every team enjoying plenty of game time and the opportunity to showcase their skills.”

Newport Girls High A were runners-up with their B side and Ludlow joint third after a series of closely contested matches.

Vanessa added: “The event provided a valuable opportunity for young players to gain experience, build confidence and enjoy the game in a fun, supportive environment.

“Cricket Shropshire extends a huge thank you to all schools, teachers, and players who took part and contributed to such a successful day.

“With the continued growth of girls’ cricket in the county, events like this highlight the passion and potential of the next generation of players.”

The competition was supported by Cricket Shropshire coaches Ed, Shannon and Ben.
