U11 Girls festival a big hit
Cricket Shropshire hosted a three-day festival for Under 11 Girls at Wrekin College earlier in August – which proved a big success.
Shropshire Under 11 Girls stayed at Wrekin College for two nights together with the team from Cricket Wales East.
Day Two of the festival also saw Worcestershire send a side over to play they other two teams involved.
Regional Development Manager Darrell Corfield said: “The feedback from coaches, players and parents was very positive – Wales East already asking for an invite for 2025.
“The focus was very much development on cricket, social skills, team bonding, inclusivity plus all the other elements that go into the mix of residential trips.
“It proved to be successful in all those areas but we won’t rest on our laurels as we look to expand and improve for 2025.”
