Women & Girls Cricket Forum planned
Cricket Shropshire is setting up a Women & Girls’ Cricket Forum this year.
The aim of the forum is to share views and experiences of females involved in cricket within in Shropshire.
This includes:
- Players – those playing in mixed gender teams
- Club environment/culture – experience of club committees
- Officials – umpires and scorers
- Other aspects you feel need addressing to improve and engage more females
Women & Girls Recreational Cricket Officer Katie Rushton said: “We will hold informal meetings throughout the year to hear from as many people as possible.
“We are keen to get new individuals involved in the discussion and involve as wide a range of views as possible.
“We will then aim to follow up with actions to make a real difference across the network.”
The first meeting is expected to be held either in late February or early March.
