Fun-filled day at KS1 cricket festival

Pupils from primary schools across the area took part in a fun-filled KS1 cricket festival at Wrekin College organised by the Telford & Wrekin School Sports Partnership.

Schools taking part included Homer Lake, St Georges, Haberdashers’ Castle House, Albrighton, Meadows and Wrekin View Primary.

Cricket Shropshire coaches Tim and Shannon were invited along to deliver a morning of exciting cricket activities, helping the children to build their batting, bowling and fielding skills while having plenty of fun.

See below for some fantastic photos of the smiling faces and great sporting spirit on display!

Cricket Shropshire Development Administrator Vanessa Russell said: “While this particular event was run by TWSSP, the cricket activities delivered are a great example of what our coaches bring into schools through our Chance to Shine programme and Added Value cricket packages.

“If your school would be interested in a visit from our coaching team, or you’d like more information, please get in touch with me via vanessa.russell@cricketshropshire.co.uk, we’d love to hear from you!”
