Fielding drills in the spotlight for Age Group girls
Girls from Cricket Shropshire’s Under 11s and Under 13s County Age Group and Development squads have been enjoying some skills training during the Easter holidays.
There were 18 girls in attendance at the Under 11s session in the morning with four coaches putting them through their paces in six different activity sessions. The Under 13s had a go in the afternoon
These included catching high balls, throwing a cricket ball, attempting underarm run outs and practice at throwing, catching and rolling the ball.
Coaches were Cricket Shropshire’s Tyler Ibbotson, Darrell Corfield, Naomi Payne and Shannon Aston.
Cricket Shropshire’s Development Administrator Vanessa Russell said: “There was fun and music throughout the day, and the weather for the girls sessions, on the whole, was good.”
