Picture gallery: Women & Girls softball festival
Cricket Shropshire launched the Women & Girls outdoor season with a brilliant Astroturf Festival at Wrekin College.
Teams from across the county gathered for the festival which featured both a Women’s competition and also an Under 12s event.
There were sessions in both the morning and afternoon with teams playing a number of matches.
Women’s teams: Shelton, Condover, Albrighton, Column, Willey, Newtown, Newport, Cound, Allscott Heath, Bomere Heath, Ellesmere and Madeley.
Girls U12 teams: Newport, Wolverhampton, Madeley, Shrewsbury, Renegades, Allscott Heath.
Cricket Shropshire’s Development Administrator Vanessa Russell said: “It was a great day with everyone enjoying the brilliant Spring weather and lots of women and girls taking part.”
