Shropshire Disability Open session staged
Cricket Shropshire staged a Disability Open Session at Shrewsbury School for players interested in playing our hardball D40 squad or getting involved in disability cricket.
With fixtures for the upcoming season currently being finalised, it was a great chance for players to come along, get involved, and see what the pathway has to offer.
The session was supported by Cricket Shropshire coaches and welcomed 12 players, creating a positive, inclusive environment with plenty of enthusiasm throughout.
A real highlight of the day was seeing Evan White (14) attend his first D40 hard ball session.
Evan first joined our Super 1s programme three years ago and has continued to develop along the Cricket Shropshire pathway. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and can’t wait to see him continue his journey.
Cricket Shropshire Inclusion Officer Tyler Ibbotson said: “I’ve had the pleasure of coaching Evan since his very first Super 1s session at Shelton, and to now see him attending his first D40 hard ball session is fantastic. His commitment and enjoyment of the game really stand out, and this is exactly what our pathway is all about.”
If you’re interested in disability cricket and would like to be involved as fixtures are confirmed for the season ahead, please do get in touch.

With thanks to @LordsTaverners for their ongoing support of disability cricket.
