Age Group cricket camp a big hit with youngsters
This week has seen not one, but two brilliant Cricket Shropshire camps take place in the stunning surroundings of Shrewsbury School – and what a success they’ve been!
Split by age group, each camp ran over three days and two nights, giving boys from across the county the chance to enjoy a high-quality residential cricket experience tailored to their stage of development.
With a mix of technical coaching, match play, and off-field fun, both camps have been a huge hit with players and coaches alike.
From the moment they arrived, the boys got stuck into full cricket schedules delivered by our team of qualified and passionate coaches.
Sessions focused on skill-building, teamwork, and game understanding, with plenty of opportunity for players to shine in matches within their age groups.
Off the field, the young cricketers were treated to comfortable accommodation, fantastic food, and the chance to form new friendships and lasting memories.
The energy, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship shown throughout both camps have been nothing short of inspiring – and it’s been a real joy to see players embracing the experience and becoming part of the Cricket Shropshire family.
And the summer fun continues!
We’re now gearing up for next week’s girls’ county and district festival, which promises to be just as exciting.
We can’t wait to welcome our female players for their own unforgettable few days of cricket, connection, and celebration.
