Dragons still unbeaten in Furrows league

St Georges A continue to lead the way in the Furrows East Shropshire Mid-Week League after edging to victory over Priorslee by three wickets with seven balls to spare.
Batting first, visitors Priorslee finished their 20 overs on 174 with Ajay Karamkanty (37), Bahul Babu (31), Shibu Vijayakumar (21) Shantanu Golar (28) and Unni Kurin (21 not out) all contributing.
For the Dragons, Raja Janga claimed 2-36 and Venkatest Madala 2-20.
With the bat, the Dragons lost a wicket to the first ball of the innings, but Ravi Duddala (26), Krishna Bammidi (39 off 23) Faizan Khan (43 off 28) all made sure they kept up with the run rate despite losing seven wickets.
Muhammed Jasir was the pick of the bowlers with 3-26.
Lilleshall travelled to Albrighton and finished their 20 overs on 147-5 with skipper Adam Binfield hitting an unbeaten half century and Edwin Wagstaff claimed 2-11 from his three overs.
In the reply, Chris Morris was again in fine form for Albrighton with another half century before he retired while Hasibullah Shah Ghasi chipped in with 24.
But Steve Boney claimed 2-26 and Binfield 2-10 from his four overs as Lilleshall restricted their hosts to 139-5 to claim victory by eight runs.
Church Eaton claimed 20 points when they hosted St Georges B, setting up a potential title decider for next week when they travel to Church Road to take on unbeaten St Georges A in the final round of fixtures for the season.
