Two more Women’s Softball Festivals
Two more Women’s Softball Festivals take place this Sunday – and there’s still time to sign up and join in the fun.
Willey CC will be hosting the morning festival, with a start time of 10.30am. There will be bacon and sausage baps, pastries and the refreshments available.
Condover CC will be hosting the afternoon festival, starting at 1.30pm. A free bottle of prosecco will be gifted to each team that enters. Food and drinks will also be available, as well as a raffle.
Teams should arrive 30 minutes prior to start time.
Cricket Shropshire Women & Girls Officer Naomi Payne said: “The format for the festivals remains the same with 6-over pairs competition.
“Although only six players can play in each fixture, but teams can bring a squad of eight players. These players can rotate on a rolling sub basis into matches.
Cost per team will be £30 per team per festival. Clubs/teams will be invoiced for the full amount following each festival.

The deadline for registration is this Friday, July 11, at 5pm.
Naomi added; “We encourage clubs and supporters to help officiate these softball festivals to ensure smooth running on the day. We also ask that teams bring along their own bats.”
