Vanessa takes on County Safeguarding Officer role
Cricket Shropshire’s Vanessa Russell has now taken over the reins as our County Safeguarding Officer.
Vanessa, who joined the Board last March from Shrewsbury College as Development Administrator, has taken over the role from Sheila Dickie who stepped down at Christmas
She has experience in Safeguarding and will be supported in the early months by our Safeguarding Director Jennie Good as she familiarises herself with the systems and strategy of ECB.
Her primary focus will be to continue to support the network especially as we head into the hectic pre-season.
Lead Officer Steve Reese said: “We are confident that the transition will be almost seamless and we look forward to what Vanessa can add to the role and balance the increasing demands of ECB whilst ensuring there is no further unnecessary burden on the volunteer network.”
