Under 18 girls return from Wales with win

Cricket Shropshire’s Under 18 girls enjoyed their trip to Panteg CC to take on Glamorgan as they came away with a three-wicket victory.
Batting first, the hosts were bowled out for 193 with Cerys Tippings claiming 3-24 and Amy Connelly 2-33 with the other wickets shared around.
In the reply, opener Ellie Brown hit 28, Tippings 43 off 47 and Mills Jones an unbeaten 55 off 46 balls as Shropshire claimed the victory in the 40th over.
They home to a two-wicket victory with just two balls to spare in one of their T20 games against Derbyshire at Sentinel CC.
Batting first, the Shropshire attack limited the visitors to 118-6 in their 20 overs with Sophia Parton (2-19) and Connelly (2-17) leading the way.
Skipper Millie Parry then held the reply together with 55 off 61 balls after Shropshire had lost both openers without scoring before she was run out with just two runs needed for victory in the penultimate over.
But Megan Wigley hit the winning runs off the fourth ball of the final over.
In the first game earlier in the day, Shropshire batted first and finished their innings on 116-7 with Erin Newey top scoring with 19 and Rebecca Mullard-Wilson unbeaten on 16.
Derbyshire reached their victory target for the loss of four wickets with two overs to spare despite Tippings claiming 2-16.
They were beaten by five wickets when they hosted Worcestershire at Wrekin College.
Batting first, they were bowled out for 149 with Simran Chandi top scoring with 52. The visitors reached their victory target in the 41st over with Esther Hurford and Isabelle Crann both taking two wickets.
The Under 14 Boys cruised to victory when they hosted their Worcestershire counterparts at Bridgnorth CC.
They bowled the visitors out for 191 with Dylan Barkley claiming 3-26 and George Jenkins 3-22.
Barkley then hit 113 off 123 balls opening in the reply, backed up by Bobby Langton’s half century as Shropshire claimed victory by seven wickets in the 37th over.
The Under 16 Boys were involved in a high-scoring thriller when they hosted Warwickshire at Shrewsbury CC.
Batting first after winning the toss, openers Arjun Cherukuri and Will Parkinson-Witte both hit 52, putting on 113 for the first wicket to set a foundation for the Shropshire innings.
Harry Parton chipped in with 23 and Lamkin Illeperuma hit 58 off 56 balls to push the final total up to 269-6 off their 50 overs.
In the Warwickshire reply, Matthew Morris, Will Walker and Hugo Lowther all took two wickets, but the visitors hit the winning runs with a ball to spare to win by three wickets.
They hosted Leicestershire who racked up 296-4 from their 50 overs at Wellington CC with Harry Parton claiming two wickets.
Cherukuri hit a half century in the reply, Parton 42, Morgan Ward 20 and Matt Morris 30 not out but Shropshire were bowled out for 204.
The Under 12 Boys beat Worcestershire by three wickets in a game reduced to 35 overs per side at Pontesbury CC.
Batting first, the visitors finished their innings on 163-8 with Gabe Hanratty claiming 4-20 and James Scattergood 2-23.
Skipper Edward Simpkin led the way in the reply with 63 backed up by 25 from Kyle Rudge, 22 from Elliott Weaver and 20 not out from 19 balls from Edward Martin as Shropshire claimed victory by three wickets with four balls to spare.
They were beaten by eight wickets when they hosted Cricket North Wales at Whittington CC.
Runs down the order from Jayden Joseph (33) and Hanratty (21 not out) helped boost the Shropshire total to 130 before they were bowled out. The visitors knocked off the runs for the loss of just two wickets.
The Under 15 Girls claimed victory over Worcestershire in a rain-affected game at Halesowen CC.
Batting first in a game reduced to 30 overs a side, Isabelle Crann top scored with 31 as Shropshire made 123-9 from their allocation.
She then claimed two wickets in the reply as Worcestershire were reduced to 69-6 in the reply off 20 overs when play was halted. Shropshire were given the victory as the hosts were behind the rate.
They also enjoyed a big win against Staffordshire at Whittington CC, bowling out the visitors for 69 with Alice Deacon claiming 2-5 and Charlotte Arran 3-12.
Mills Jones hit an unbeaten 31 in the reply as Shropshire claimed victory by nine wickets.
They were then beaten in two T20 games when they travelled to Bromsgrove to take on Worcestershire.
Replying to the hosts 182-2, they finished their 20 overs on 67-8 with Isabelle Wedgbury hitting 22. In the other game they were bowled out for 45 with the hosts reaching their victory target for the loss of two wickets.
The Under 11 Boys claimed two victories over Herefordshire at Shrewsbury School.
In the first game played under Hundred rules, Shropshire made 92-6 in their innings with Thomas Simkin top scoring with 30. They then restricted the visitors to 59-9 with Billy Anders claiming 2-4 and Henry Leach 2-9.
In the second game played as a T20, Herefordshire were bowled out for 61 with Freddie Bebb claiming 4-14 and Tom Bowlder 2-5. In the reply, Will Jones hit 20 and Simkin 19 not out as Shropshire reached their victory target for the loss of two wickets.
They also won a rain-affected game at Shrewsbury School against Cricket Wales U11s.
Batting first in a 30 over game, Will Jones hit a brilliant 100 off 76 balls before retiring while Kyle Rudge made 31 as Shropshire amassed 210-6.
In reply, the Welsh side were 56-1 off 14 overs before the weather bought the game to a close, well short of their revised target of 80.
