Umpiring courses arranged for 2026
There’s still time to sign up for one of the umpiring courses in Shropshire that will be held ahead of the 2026 season.
They have been arranged by the Shropshire Association of Cricket Officials (SACO) in conjunction with Cricket Shropshire.
There are four ECB Introduction to Umpiring Courses planned for anyone wanting to start out on their umpiring journey and to develop existing knowledge – helping your club out in the process.
Please see below a list of scheduled ECB Introduction to Umpiring courses. These are for anyone wanting to start out umpiring or develop existing knowledge.
- ECB Umpire Course (Inclusive) Wrekin College, Wellington, Telford – Sunday, April 12 to book CLICK HERE.
All courses will run from 9.30am until 4.30pm each day and Cost £70.
There will also be an ECB Umpire Progression Course with a date and venue to be confirmed.
The aim is to get candidates ‘umpire ready’ and go into greater details on the Laws of the game, match management and the decision-making process.
