Tons for Foster and Gill in Seniors action

Another century from John Foster was not enough to see Shropshire Over 60s to victory over Worcestershire on an excellent batting surface at Bridgnorth CC.
Batting first, Foster hit an unbeaten 110, while Martin Chambers chipped in with 52 and Paul Humphreys 34 as Shropshire finished their 45 overs on 212-3.
But the Pears batters also found the surface to their liking as they reached their victory target for the loss of just one wicket which fell to a run out from Humphreys.
Shropshire Over 50s 2nd XI took on their Welsh counterparts at Albrighton. The visitors batted first and racked up 278-6 with both Phil Snape and Julian Gallimore picking up 3-60.
In the reply, Bobby Gill hit a magnificent 114 not out off just 77 balls.
Skipper Steve Maden chipped in with 24, and Terry Hughes hit 25 down the order, but Shropshire were bowled out for 234 with two overs left in the innings to give the visitors victory by 44 runs.
The Over 60s 2nd XI made the long trip to Copley CC to take on Yorkshire and finished their innings on 120-8, Andrew Yates hitting 39 and Dave Shaw chipping in with 23.
Yorkshire knocked the runs off without losing a wicket.
