Table Cricket

What is Table Cricket?

Table cricket is an adapted version of cricket, played on a table tennis table in teams of 6. It is a game of strategy with different scoring zones and carefully positioned fielders around the table. Bowlers use a ramp to deliver the ball to the batter who then has to hit the ball into the scoring zones, aiming to avoid the fielders.

Why do we play it?

Table cricket is an accessible and inclusive sport for young people with physical and learning disabilities, giving more players the chance to enjoy batting, bowling and fielding using adapted equipment. It can improve cognitive skills such as concentration, decision making and problem solving, whilst also developing teamwork and social skills.

Above all, it builds confidence and gives young people the opportunity to compete, contribute to a team and celebrate their achievements.
