But with Ben Crawford and Avneesh Sakremath both chipping in with 16, Lilleshall finally knocked off the runs with the three balls remaining to claim the victory by three wickets.
The match escaped the threat of the weather with the skies clearing in time for the start and the sunshine and a rainbow making an appearance to provide a suitable back drop for a memorable evening.
Hosts Quatt also went the extra mile streaming the game live so that it could get a wider audience.
Nathan Hakeman from Quatt said: “We were thrilled to host this final. It was a great showcase for youth cricket and we’re really proud of how our players performed. The live stream added a great touch and allowed more people to be part of the evening.”
Cricket Shropshire Development Administrator Vanessa Russell, who was on hand to present the trophies and the medals, praised both sides for their efforts.
She said: “The skill, effort and commitment shown by these young players was absolutely outstanding. It’s fantastic to see such passion for the game and a brilliant example of youth cricket at its best.
“A huge well done to both teams for a fantastic display of cricket, and congratulations to Lilleshall on lifting the U15 T20 Divisional Cup.”
