League Cricket

There are a number of different leagues available for clubs in Shropshire, with the main weekend cricket being played in the Birmingham and District Premier League and the Shropshire County Cricket League

Birmingham & District League

Formed in 1888, the Birmingham & District Cricket League was the first recorded cricket league in the World to take to the field. It enjoys ECB Premier League status and features a number of Shropshire clubs. The league website can be found HERE.

Shropshire County Cricket League

The Shropshire County Cricket League was formed in 2012 after a merger between the Shropshire Premier Cricket League and the Shropshire Cricket League. In 2024, it features eight Saturday Divisions and three Sunday Divisions. The website is HERE.

Shrewsbury Evening League

The Shrewsbury & District Evening League was formed in 1978 and now features 25 clubs playing friendly yet competitive 20/20 cricket for all ages and abilities with games playing during the week. For the League website, click HERE.

Cricket Shropshire Junior Leagues

The Cricket Shropshire Junior Leagues offer ranges from U10/U11 Incrediball to U15 T20 formats. Aiming to have an inclusive offer, we regularly have contact with clubs to ensure our leagues are there to suit our clubs and their membership. For more click HERE.
