EDI/Safeguarding posters sent to clubs

Cricket Shropshire has produced a series of posters promoting inclusivity and safety in cricket – and these are now being distributed to clubs across the county.
These posters focus on EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion), Safeguarding and Pre-match advice for captains and officials.
Cricket Shropshire Development Administrator Vanessa Russell said: “These essential resources, designed to be displayed in changing rooms and on club notice boards, play a key role in reinforcing cricket as a welcoming, respectful, and safe sport for everyone.
“This initiative ensures that all players, coaches, volunteers, and visitors are reminded of the standards we uphold—both on and off the field.
“The posters are clear, accessible, and promote vital messages about inclusivity, safety, and the spirit of the game.
“Displaying these materials is a simple yet powerful way for clubs to show their commitment to creating a positive and supportive environment for all participants, regardless of background, ability, or identity.
“It helps set the tone for matches and training sessions, encouraging respectful behaviour and reinforcing that cricket is for everyone.
“Let’s keep working together to make cricket in Shropshire inclusive, safe, and enjoyable for all.”
