Celebrating Neurodivergence Week
It’s Neurodivergence Week — and at Cricket Shropshire we’re celebrating inclusion in action.
We believe cricket should be accessible, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone.
Across Shropshire, we work to remove barriers, create supportive environments, and make sure every individual feels they belong in the game.
From community programmes and schools to specialist sessions and new initiatives, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.
Different minds. Different strengths. One cricket community.

Table Cricket
Cricket can be played in many ways — and Table Cricket is a brilliant example of the game being adapted so everyone can take part.
Designed to be fully inclusive, Table Cricket creates opportunities for players with a wide range of needs to experience the excitement, teamwork, and skill of the sport in an accessible environment.
It’s competitive, engaging, and most importantly – fun.
Because cricket should be a game everyone can enjoy.

Gobowen Spinal Project
Cricket can play a powerful role in recovery, wellbeing, and confidence.
Through our spinal project in Gobowen, we support individuals with spinal injuries to experience cricket in a safe, adapted, and encouraging environment.
These sessions are about much more than sport – they’re about connection, rehabilitation, and rediscovering what’s possible.
We’re proud to help make cricket part of that journey.

Schools & Young People
Creating inclusive experiences for young people is a huge part of what we do.
Our school delivery programmes bring adapted cricket into learning environments across the county, supporting pupils with a wide range of needs to develop skills, confidence, and a love for physical activity.
Every child deserves the chance to participate, succeed, and enjoy being active — in a way that works for them.

Community, Clubs & New Opportunities
Inclusion grows when communities come together.
We work closely with local clubs to help them create welcoming environments for all players — and we’re excited to be developing new opportunities linking cricket with the Armed Forces and veteran community.
Cricket has the power to connect people, build confidence, and create belonging — wherever your journey begins.
Together, we’re making the game more inclusive every day.
