Recreational cricket survey for Shropshire
Cricket Shropshire has launched a survey to canvass views about the recreational game in the county.
Lead Officer Steve Reese said: “Building on our previous four year strategy for cricket in Shropshire and based around the England and Wales Cricket Board ‘Inspiring Generations’, we are currently evolving our strategy for Recreational Cricket in Shropshire for the next County Partnership Agreement (CPA) period 2025-2028 and would be very grateful for your views in order for us to establish what appear to be the emerging priorities.
“The CPA is the contract between Cricket Shropshire and ECB, where we determine our priorities and activities for the next four years. Getting it right and ensuring your issues and views are properly reflected is therefore vitally important.
S”upporting clubs will continue to be at the heart of what we do, with our other main priorities including the continuation of expanding Women and Girls’ cricket, increasing junior participation, encouraging more volunteers and recognising those who are the “glue” who hold our game together.
“We must ensure EDI & Safeguarding runs through everything we do, keeping everyone safe, ensuring welcoming environments and working towards making cricket the most inclusive team sport in the country.
“We will continue to work with other sports and organisations to extend the reach of cricket and the working on the positive impact our sport can have in a large rural county especially for those less advantaged.
“We would be most grateful if you could help us shape the best plans by completing this survey.”
