Clubs can apply for £1,000 grants
Cricket clubs across Shropshire can apply for one of five £1,000 grants available to sports organisations in the county from the Bill Longmore Foundation.
The foundation was set up in memory of former West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner Bill, a former police officer in Staffordshire and then businessman who was based in Hanwood and had an unwavering enthusiasm and commitment to sports and the community.
In his memory, the Foundation aims to carry forward his legacy by offering awards of financial assistance to those who demonstrate outstanding achievements in their respective sports.
Applications are open to individuals, clubs, and organisations from all sports in Staffordshire and Shropshire with five £1,000 grants available in each county.
